Winter Garraf

I'm back in Garraf nation park during winter, to explore new singletrack, test new equipment, explore caves and to be alone for a while. This time no need to battle the sun., it's around 17C during the day and 5C at night.

Kaki tree. Not ready yet. Need to wait for first frost.

Garraf welcomes me

Old water well hidden in the bushes

Single track here is full of different size sharp rocks. And bushes around are pretty spiky too. No fulin' around and no bails!!!

I'm on the highest point of Garraf park. It's arround 500m. It's 360' view from here.

This is one of reasones why i came here - caves. There is many of them in Garraf because of rock structure. This one goes 87m deep inside mountain.

..but it's so narrow. Only my head would fit into it. I have found several of them here. All too narrow to enter.

Garraf park stone shapes.

At sunset i found a nice place by the pine tree. No rocks here. Alt. 500m and pretty strong wind where not supporting my good night sleep, but i had no other choice.

Morning sun wakes me up

portatable hobo/fire/wood stove

breakfast

borning coffee

This is my new DIY framebag, made from recycled condura material. I carry my kitchen and bike tool in it. And also some food.

Back on the road. Today i'm gonna find local singletrack around park

On my way i run into budist monastery wall. I've heard about this place. It's the only budist monastery in Catalunya and one of the biggest in Spain. My friend told me that it's possible to stay here for one month and participate in monastery life, learn monk teachings and way of life

the gates where open and music was playing, I cycled around and continued my jorney

Rolling down the gravel road, downhill to Sitges

HAving a snack on the coast, not far away from the beach i have bean with Gita in the summer.

The beginning of the track

I should sleep here, it would be a good wind protection

The trac aroun park wasn't for me. Maybe not for my bike also. Too steep downhils, with big boulders laying arround, sharp stones and narrow paths, surrounded by bushes. Hard to enjoy, but for one ride it's good.
